Clifford Chance is one of the world’s pre-eminent law firms. Place Laboratory were commissioned to design and deliver their first outdoor terrace that will set the standard for all of their future outdoor spaces. The design of the terrace reflects Clifford Chance’s global brand and identity whilst creating a space that blends innovation, technology and functionality with comfort.
The city central location means that the new space acts as an urban escape for the workers to go and enjoy the tranquil environment, while also having the ability to transform the space into an entertainment area for larger gatherings.
The design of this contemporary space takes into account of flexiblity with movable furniture, sun tolerant plants, custom canopies and privacy with the semi translucent fencing creating sightlines out into the public space. This along with the colour palette selection creates a more breathable space considering the constraint of the small linear site.
