The Curtin University Bus Interchange forms a key component of the Greater Curtin Master Plan. It is anticipated in 10 years up to 4 million public transport patrons will use the facility each year.

The Bus Interchange is centre piece of a‘Transit Orientated Development’ currently underway. In the future it will have directly interfaces with new student housing, a supermarket, an urban plaza and the Curtin Stadium.

The design rethinks the definition of transit infrastructure in a campus context. Rather than treating the project as a single use infrastructure development, a set of place strategies were development early in the design process to ensure the new transit hub is place for everyday life. This place led infrastructure development approach was also implemented on many of our projects, including Curtin Creative Quarter.
