It was wonderful to be invited to showcase our Wise Terrace precinct prototyping project at the 2022 Town Team Conference in Kariyarra Country, South Headland and get firsthand feedback watching and talking to users of the spaces and trial activations.
The purpose of the Town Team Movement | RAC WA Conference is to explore the benefits of the place leadership approach in activating communities; rediscover the power of working together as a collective to create positive change and show how a ‘can do’ approach works when we all work together.
It was an honour to be part of this 2-day outdoor conference that saw generous sharing of knowledge and a celebration of the real positive change and empowerment of communities. Seeing our ideas for the Wise Terrace precinct coming to life reinforced PLACE Lab’s commitment to work with communities to create places with purpose and identity. We can’t wait to see what happens next in the South Hedland Town Centre!
