Bentley 360
Northern Parklands Temporary Place Activation Plan reimagines a vacant 12-hectare development site in Bentley as a new vibrant public open space.

The brownfield site will be transformed into a new public open space that will form the beginning of the emerging new Bentley 360 community.

The project will open the vacant site to the public and include the creation of medium-to-long term destination play spaces, walking and cycle paths, programmatic interventions and artworks throughout the site.

The Northern Parklands will consist of three key areas; an Adventure Destination, Linear Playscape and a Passive Recreation Area;

  • The Adventure Destination includes picnic and seating opportunities, an open lawn space, intergenerational play space, learn to ride course and construction play.
  • The Linear Playscape transforms the existing Taree Street roadway into a 400m long street playscape with programmatic play and art interventions along its length. The Linear Playscape also provides an important link between the existing neighbourhoods in the north to the schools and community facilities to the south.
  • The Passive Recreation Area is an open recreational space that is designed around site-won materials that are recycled to create exercise circuits and walking trails.
