Congratulations to PLACE Laboratory for their double win at the Planning Institute of Australia (ACT) 2023 Awards! It’s a remarkable achievement to receive awards for both Planning Excellence in addressing Climate Change and Resilience, and Planning Excellence for Community Wellbeing & Diversity.
The Gender Sensitive & Urban Design Framework received an Award for Planning Excellence for Community Wellbeing & Diversity. This progressive project, commissioned by the ACT Government, was led by PLACE Laboratory and supported by an exceptional team of women from Oculus, Communication Link, and Inhabit Place.
Suburban Land Agency’s North Wright Compact Housing Precinct also received an Award for Planning Excellence for addressing climate change and enhancing resilience. This was a collaborative effort led by the Suburban Land Agency’s Built Form team, with Elisabeth Judd, Mather Architects, Northrop Engineers, and PLACE Lab delivering the public realm.
These awards recognise our commitment (with a large dose of unwavering effort and a spark of creative brilliance) to bring to life places that are sustainable and good for community wellbeing.
Congratulations once again to PLACE Laboratory and their colleagues for their hard work, patience, and inspiration in making these projects a success.
