Opening of Central Park Refurbishment

PLACE Laboratory celebrated with the Project Team and Client on Wednesday the Grand Opening of The Central Park refurbishment. We are proud of our role in the transformation from a once dark and uninviting space to a welcoming forecourt that is open to the street.

Our entry stone steps and integrated ramp sit elegantly on St Georges Terrace, seamlessly connecting to the Iconic CBD Parklands.  This project showcases how we can deliver excellence even the most complex of sites being on a structure. To meet the client’s expectations of creating a tranquil landscape with greenery, we designed large planters which also acted as lush urban couches to shape spaces for informal seating and visual interest from above.

Working closely with the architect’s Woods Bagot, the stone palette in the building’s foyer is employed in the external planters blurring the between inside and outside.
