ROCKINGHAM BEACH FORESHORE REVITALISATION

“PLACE Laboratory has been commissioned to develop the detailed design for three key public realm spaces on the Rockingham foreshore. Extensive community consultation and place activation planning have been used to inform the design of Beach Plaza, a new high-performance public square, that together with the redevelopment of the foreshore boardwalk and historic Railway Terrace will create a new civic heart and tourism destination for Rockingham.”

PLACE-LED ENGAGEMENT FOR NGNUNNUWAL HOMESTEAD

PLACE Laboratory collaborated with Communication Link who led the community engagement for the Ngnunnuwal Homestead Community and Stakeholder Panel and identified the community values with respect to the Homestead site. In preparing the Precinct Development Brief, the Panel met on three occasions and visited the site. Listening to the community and incorporating their community aspirations in the development brief was crucial. Members of the Panel also gathered input from the broader community through discussions with neighbours and colleagues, also hearing from members of the community who participated in an on-site workshop. “
