Appearing to have stepped straight out of a Shaun Tan book is the whimsical attraction, Les Machines.

The old shipping yards on the Ile de Nantes have been converted into a large play and green space. The ship building sheds are now home to La Machines museum, carousel, workshop and a garden. Described as a mechanical menagerie this public art project even includes a large mechanical elephant. This ambitious project will eventually include a large mechanical tree, with flying storks, human scale caterpillars that transport people up the branches.
